Durrrr vs. Patrik Antonius… Part One
Thursday, February 19th, 2009
Durrrr’s first challenger is Patrik Antonius!
If Patrik wants to win the $1.5 million at hand he’ll have to beat Durrrr in 50k hands of 4-tabling Heads-up play. Patrik is not off to a good start as he just finished play of day one with the blinds 200/400 PLO at Full Tilt Poker down over six figures.
The two pros played a total of just over 1,500 hands, aprox 3% of the 50,000 hands required in the competition. At the end of the days action Durrrr was up $134,911.50.
Antonius said yesterday that he expects the challenge to take anywhere between four and six months to complete. Durrrr is known for playing thousands of hands a day and will likely play other challengers at the same time. Both players are extremely competitive and will likely finish out the bet but if one player happens to throw in the towel he has to pay the bet off. There is no set schedule to Durrrr’s Challenge as both Pros have crazy schedules so please check back daily as whenever anything happens I will be sure to update this blog. Also follow the action live in the PLO section on FTP.
